Do We Clean Our Hands After Picking Up Dog Poop?

doody calls houston

Looking for services for your pets is always a little bit of a stressful undertaking. Between kennels, breeders, and more, you have enough to worry about when it comes to your pet's health and safety. This is why we have created this guide to help you figure out what qualities you should look for in an often overlooked pet service: pet waste removal.

What is Pet Waste Removal?

This is a newer service for busy pet parents. Having a pet is a big commitment and make sure they stay healthy and safe is almost as much responsibility as having a child. One of many pet owners least favorite responsibilities is dealing with picking up dog poop. Hunting around for your dog's poop in the rain, snow, and humid weather is no fun and you shouldn't have to deal with it if you shouldn't have to. That's why you should hire us as your professional pooper scoopers.

We are the premier service in the area for dog waste removal. As pet owners ourselves, we know how tedious it can be to pick up your dog's poop. So we take all the hassle out of it. We come to your house on a schedule you set. We can do it when you are at work and before the weekend, so not only do you come home to a clean lawn, your kids can play in a clean lawn over the weekend.

While dog waste removal is our main business, we also do wild animal waste removal. Ducks and geese can be a pain for people who live near ponds, lakes, or golf courses. When these birds migrate, they create a large mess for people who live around their habitats to deal with. Their waste can be a disaster for people trying to keep their lawn clean and tidy. Whether it's a one-time cleaning after they leave, or normal maintenance, we will help you come up with a custom solution for you and your property.

What Size Yards Do We Service?

Our whole business is developed around building custom solutions for pet parents. From yards as small as a dog walk to larger lawns over three acres, we do it all. Have something larger? We can help! When you call us, we come out to your property and do a walk around with you. We will talk to you about your pet, you property and what kind of cleaning you are looking for. You set the schedule. We recommend that lawns are cleaned at least once a week, but if you want more or less, we will work with you.

There is nothing better than not having to worry about cleaning up dog poop before your kid's playdate. Your lawn stays cleaner, your pet is happier, your neighborhood stays more beautiful, and you can always count on one thing being crossed off your list. Call us for an estimate today!

Having a pet is a great experience for a family. From providing companionship and comfort to teaching responsibility, pets bring families closer together. Most of the aspects of pet ownership and fun: going on long walks, having a Netflix buddy, playing fetch, having an extra set of eyes to make sure the house is safe. Some other parts are not so fun. Things like barking at 3 am or finding a chewed shoe once in awhile.

The part of pet ownership that people most frequently complain about is picking up dog poop. That’s right. Picking up dog poop is that part of owning a pet that people dread. Often times, this task is rotated among the kids in the family and let’s be honest, kids more often than not conveniently “forget” that they were on pooper scooper duty for that week.

This means a messy yard and an unpleasant build up of dog poop to pick up. Usually, the parents are the ones who have to go out and pick up dog poop because they want the yard to be clean and your son needs to finish his homework before dinnertime. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a service to deal with this nuisance? Well now there is!

What Are We Talking About?

We are talking about a full-scale, professional pet poop removal service. For one monthly price, we will come to your home and pick up all the dog poop in your yard. We offer custom solutions that fit your busy schedule.

We will come to your home on whatever day you desire and fully clean up your lawn. We have a rotating schedule, so we can come anywhere from every week to every month. Every two week is the plan that most pet owners choose. The two week plan helps the yard stay clean for the best price. After we clean up the yard, we will actually haul away the poop. That’s right. We remove the poop from your premises and safely dispose of it so it doesn't stink up your trash cans.

Our staff comes uniformed and ready to work with all the supplies they need. We are incredibly efficient with our work and you won’t even know we were there (aside from coming home to a sparkling clean lawn that is).

Service Specifics

Now for the technical part. We do offer a suite of specific pricing options based on the size of your yard. The prices do fluctuate depending on amount of pets and the frequency of cleaning, so it is always best to call us and have us do an estimate for you fit to your exact needs.

Our Extra Small plan is perfect for people with a small back yard or a simple dog run. Best suited for homes in the near suburbs of a city. The size this covers is about 20’ by 20’ and under.

Small

Our Small plan is a great option for most standard sized homes in the far suburbs of a city. With most lots being a standard size now, this is a good option for people in subdivisions or neighborhoods. This plan covers the size 60’ by 120’.

Our Medium plan is a good choice for people with larger yards. This usually covers homes in large, more rural suburbs or gated communities. This plan covers properties that are half an acre or under.

Large

A great plan for larger homes or homes with more land, our Large plan covers homes that have a property that is 2 acres or under.

Extra-Large

For properties that are larger than most, we have our Extra-Large plan. This is a great option for people who live in a more rural setting. This plan covers properties that are 4 acres or under.

Custom Pricing

Have a property that is bigger than our plans? Don’t worry! Anything larger than 4 acres can be covered by our custom plans. We want to make sure that everyone can get the dog poop removal they need so we will work with you to create a plan that is great for you!

Do We Clean Our Hands After Picking Up Dog Poop?

  • How to Dispose of Dog Crap?

Wayne County

Dog poop disposal is not a very pleasant thing to have to do. I think more people would rather have a root canal than have to reach down and touch that smelly nasty pet waste. OK, maybe not make a visit to the dentist to endure his torture, but I think you get my meaning. Dog waste removal is disgusting and very harmful to our environment, unless you are like the guy, who while working for a certain waste collection company, actually found $58 in some dog poo. Guess that made his job worthwhile (for the moment anyway.) Now this is a dedicated removal service employee. He actually picked the money out of the feces, sanitized it (somehow), and gave it back to the customers he was working for. Now that is a dog poop scooper who is dedicated to his craft. Have to wonder about the friendly pet people who accepted the money though. I mean I am all for the mighty dollar (especially 58 of them), but money that has been sitting in dog poo, think I would have to let that $58 go. Here's an interesting fact, did you know it takes on average, 1000 years for a plastic bag to degrade on its own? The average pet owner uses 14 of these bags per week to clean up after his pet, and there are 77 million dogs in the USA alone. I am not a mathematician now, but that equals a lot of plastic doing harm to our environment, the way I see it. And not to mention the way dog waste contaminates our landfills and raises bacteria levels at our beaches and waterways.

So the question is, what to do with dog poop? You can do like some people and just get a regular plastic bag to put your dogs feces in or maybe be like the more conscientious pet owner and get biodegradable dog poop bags and scoop the poop into them with your pooper scooper and throw it in the trash, causing all sorts of health dangers to yourself, and others, by 23 million fecal coli-formed bacteria. You can call a removal service and let them deal with it, but from my experience, they mostly come out only once a week and I know my dogs go a lot more than that, how about once every 10 minutes (OK, that is only after I feed them a burrito). But daily, I clean up after my guys and I know if a service were to come to your house that often, you better have the name Rockefeller to pay them. I see you getting excited, you are thinking I am finally going to get to the answer about what to do with the dog dooley and how to go about your dog waste clean up. But not yet my friends, remember patience is a virtue.

Another question must be answered first and that is, "what is eco friendly?" These are activities or products that do good for the environment. Sometimes referred to as "green". OK, here is where I answer the question you have all been waiting to hear. How do we stop the pet poop from piling up, if we don't use any of the methods mentioned above? In a perfect world, you would have a organic spray, that when sprayed on your doggie's dung it would dissolve it naturally within minutes before your eyes without harming any lawn or pet. I mean there are no particular binders that hold doo together and poo dissolves on its own when flushed into waste water treatment facilities. And eventually all the components of doggie stuff will undergo decomposition via enzymes such as cellulases and pectinases anyway. So why can't there be a spray out there that speeds up this process? Let me tell you dog owners, the perfect world has arrived!
